5 Destinations You’re Not Considering (But Should)

As a travel agency owner, I get to help our clients explore some of the most beautiful and exciting destinations around the globe. Whether it's the sparkling Amalfi Coast or the vibrant streets of Paris, some destinations are just timeless classics.

But here’s a little secret: I have a shortlist of destinations that I wish more of our clients would consider.

What makes these destinations so special?

Well, they’re often overlooked but, in my opinion, equally as thrilling and deserving of your attention. So, if you’re ready to expand your bucket list, here are five destinations that should be on your radar.

BERLIN

Berlin is probably not be the first place you think of when dreaming about a European city break, but it should be. Beyond its famous landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin Wall, Berlin has an artsy, underground scene you won’t find anywhere else.

Spend your days exploring eclectic neighborhoods, visit world-class museums, and dive into its diverse food scene (hello, street food markets!). The city effortlessly blends old and new, making it a must-visit for any city-loving traveler.

PROVENCE

When it comes to France, Paris and the French Riviera tend to steal the spotlight. But, trust me, you won’t want to overlook Provence.

This region is all about the charm – picture rolling lavender fields, quaint villages, and the kind of rustic food that always hits the mark. Provence gives you a slower, more intimate look at French culture. If you’re looking for a destination where time seems to slow down, Provence is it.

LISBON

Lisbon is finally getting the recognition it deserves, but it’s still not at the top of everyone’s list – and that’s part of its magic.

Wander through its maze of narrow streets in the Alfama district, take in the breathtaking views from one of the many viewpoints, and savor the city’s incredible cuisine. From vibrant street art to a nightlife scene that rivals some of the best in Europe, Lisbon is a city where there’s always something new to explore.

CRETE

When people think of Greece, Santorini and Mykonos often come to mind, but Crete is a stunning alternative that offers a little bit of everything.

As Greece's largest island, Crete has it all – from gorgeous beaches with crystal-clear waters to ancient ruins and charming towns. Crete’s vibrant culinary scene is another highlight, featuring delicious local dishes and white wines that you are guaranteed to love.

DUBROVNIK

Dubrovnik remains a bit of an under-the-radar destination for many travelers (even despite it’s feature in the ever-popular Game of Thrones). The city's medieval Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its picturesque streets, stunning architecture, and the famous city walls that offer spectacular views over the Adriatic Sea.

Beyond its rich history, Dubrovnik is also home to several beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters. Whether you’re wandering through ancient fortresses or sipping a cocktail by the sea, Dubrovnik will not disappoint.
